
Anne is a strategic communications, media and public relations professional with more than 14 years’ progressive experience garnered from: blue chip multinational companies, international development agencies and global research firms. She is well versed in organizational branding, agribusiness and financial inclusion for agriculture, and multimedia campaign execution. She designed a successful tax lobby campaign for Diageo’s East African Breweries Ltd – saving a US $ 400 million value chain. She was responsible for leading PR activities for a multi-stakeholder social entrepreneurship initiative involving Coca-Cola, Ericsson, Philips, Pentair, SC Johnson, and spearheaded by Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame and top Coca-Cola executives garnering PR worth US $ 144,000. Anne is a prolific writer and editor of corporate newsletters, position papers, technical reports, annual reports, speeches, op-eds, blog posts, journal articles, news releases, and impact stories. She is also an avid digital photographer as well as a social media user, who has led the production of documentaries, and managed social media campaigns. Anne has also been interviewed and quoted by the Washington Post on African agriculture.
Anne has previously worked at CIMMYT where she drafted articles that were used in the CIMMYT Corporate Annual Reports between 2009 and 2012. These covered developments in new maize variety adoption, calls for harmonization of Africa’s seed laws as well as adoption of climate-ready maize varieties by farmers.
